AeroGust Special Session papers available now

Benoit Tartinville (Numeca)

On Wednesday 27 June 2018 AeroGust presented five papers at an AeroGust Special Session at the AIAA Aviation Forum (2018 Applied Aerodynamics Conference) in Atlanta, USA.

Six members of the AeroGust consortium attended the session – Dr Robbie Cook and Dr Chris Wales (University of Bristol), Dr Benoit Tartinville (Numeca), Philipp Bekemeyer (DLR) and Roy Horwitz (University of Cape Town). The session was chaired by Dr Dorian Jones (University of Bristol).

The presented papers were titled:

The future of non-linear modelling of aeroelastic gust

Robbie Cook (University of Bristol

A Kriging based corrected potential flow ROM for gust load calculations

High fidelity gust simulations over a supercritical airfoil

Nonlinear unsteady Reduced Order Models

Uncertainty quantification of aeroelastic systems

The presentations can also be viewed here.

The conference wasn’t all work and no play though, with the team managing to find time for a little sight seeing and the chance to see Atlanta United in action!
